Denmark Pilot
The Danish ePIPV pilot demonstrates PV-integrated charging at a highway logistics hub using the fleet and facilities of Alex Andersen. Implemented by DTU, Alex Andersen, and Mobicom, the pilot integrates PV generation, battery storage, charging stations, and vehicle-integrated PV to support the operation of seven electric heavy-duty trucks. The demonstrator focuses on coordinated energy and fleet management, high PV self-consumption, and scalable solutions for highway charging infrastructure.
The pilot demonstrates solar-powered charging for heavy-duty vehicles, enables smart coordination between PV, storage, and charging systems, and supports efficient energy management across both trucks and light-duty vehicles. It also aims to reduce grid dependency during peak charging periods and to deliver scalable insights for deploying ePIPV solutions at other highway hubs across Europe.
Start pilot: November 2026
End pilot: January 2029
